Update on lockdown support from Newham's amazing community

The Covid Helpline run by Community Links is being reactivated from 9th Nov.


Supermarkets have organised Priority Bookings and you can access these yourself or through one of the support routes above. Newham Mutual Aid Groups, NHS Responders and VCFS also have mobilised to provide support to Newham residents.


Newham Food Alliance are offering support for vulnerable residents who are struggling with covering food bills.


A number of new services are being set up, including supporting those struggling to get to grips with the Digital world, and more advice services for vulnerable residents.


Chat Newham service for anyone feeling lonely or isolated is being reactivated from 8th Nov


Libraries are remaining open for residents to access IT


To help more people understand the best ways for us to protect ourselves from Covid, new Covid Marshalls are being trained to communicate the guidance and encourage positive behaviour.
