Connect Newham is offering befriending for adults living/caring alone in Newham. Residents will receive between 3 and 20 weekly or fortnightly calls from fully vetted and trained volunteers as well as ongoing check-ins and signposting to wider support. The service is working closely with mental health and link services in the borough to ensure residents are able to access the full range of health, care and community services in the borough.
We are also recruiting volunteers and are looking for friendly Newham residents who are able to commit to an initial 2 hour training, monthly supervision meetings and a minimum of 3 months of weekly calls.
