Free training for staff and volunteers

There is still spaces left on a range of free training on offer by London Borough of Newham. The training sessions are for anyone (staff or volunteers or faith organisations) in the borough who is regularly having conversations with residents who are presenting with a range of social welfare issues. This could be in a community, food, or clinical setting.

All training sessions are being delivered via Zoom and you will need to sign up via the Eventbrite links included on the attachment. Once registered you will receive the zoom link nearer to the time of the planned training.

The full programme is attached, but there are two new sessions added since the last time the programme was published:

  • Children and Young People’s mental wellbeing An introduction to mental health and wellbeing for children and young people – a session focusing on understanding risk factors, recognising signs, and how to support young people with their mental health.
