Free social welfare awareness training for staff and volunteers

Does your community group in the borough have staff and volunteers who are regularly having conversations with residents about a range of social welfare issues. London Borough of Newham are offering free training for staff and volunteers as a development pathway. The initial training session shows how to have initial conversations with residents – to find out what their key concerns are and how to prioritise support for them. This is followed up by a range of 90 minute training modules on specific services that are available to support residents.

This free training will enhance the skills your group already has and facilitate collaborating with other groups having similar conversations across the borough. For more information, watch a short video here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1fJi3d4_GhHPbuzLRlAcUXFYy28Sm-KFR/view
