Our members are civil society organisations, small and large, that work in the London Borough of Newham who work for the benefit of residents and communities of Newham. Membership is free and open to organisations that support One Newham’s vision and values.


Age UK East London

Age UK East London is an independent local charity. We've been working in our communities alongside older people for over 30 years. We have more than 80 dedicated staff and over 100 regular volunteers helping us to deliver services right across East London.
We are a brand partner of Age UK - the national charity formed from the merger of Help the Aged and Age Concern England.

Ambition Aspire Achieve (AAA Zone)

Ambition Aspire Achieve(AAA) was founded because of a longstanding desire to provide opportunities for children and young people in the London Borough of Newham and surrounding areas. AAA now delivers a wide range of projects and services from both hubs and across local communities in Newham. Our work particularly focuses on and supports children and young people most in need, including those with disabilities or additional needs.

We are a gambling support service, with a mission to provide support and education services to address problematic issues caused by gambling. Betknowmore UK is working tirelessly to raise awareness, deliver more support services and through education, create more understanding about gambling related harm. We have set up a gambling support hub in London and our services aid both individuals and other stakeholders.

Bonny Downs Community Foundation

BDCA is a dynamic community-led charity that has been serving the residents of East Ham since 1998. We strive to make a real and lasting difference to the quality of life of local people by promoting community cohesion, tackling isolation, encouraging healthier lifestyles and addressing the root causes of poverty.

Caritas Anchor House

Caritas Anchor House is a homelessness charity providing accommodation and life-skills support for single homeless adults. Our driving mission is to ensure that those who walk through our doors grow in confidence and move towards leading independent, self-fulfilling lives by providing education, guidance and personal rehabilitation. Caritas Anchor House works with vulnerable groups including those affected by homelessness, unemployment, mental health, substance misuse, domestic abuse and offending.

Citizens Advice Newham

We are an independent, local charity working in Hackney, Newham and Tower Hamlets and were members of the national Citizens Advice network.We provide free advice, information and advocacy to help people resolve the problems they face. We help with problems involving welfare benefits, housing, debt, money management, employment, immigration, consumer, and family and personal issues.

Disability Rep Forum

Our mission is to empower the minority communities and make sure there voices are heard, we support, guide and help people with pan impairment and cross culture. we meet all access needs.

Fight for Peace

Fight for Peace uses boxing and martial arts combined with education and personal development to realise the potential of young people. Fight for Peace supports young people in communities affected by crime and violence by creating new opportunities for them and supporting them to make the most of existing opportunities.

Health is Wealth Project

Long sedentary office hours, stress and dietary misinformation have created a society in which chronic complaints are prevalent; and where fatigue, digestive issues, weight gain and depression have become daily irritants. By adopting an evidence based approach and utilising functional testing, Health is Wealth Group can provide tangible results, guaranteed to motivate employees and demonstrate return on investment.

London Black Women's Project

London Black Women's Project is a specialist and dedicated BME (Black Minority Ethnic) woman only organisation. It is committed to securing the highest level of quality services provision towards protecting, promoting and developing the rights and resources of women and children from BME communities.

MTC Learning

Serving people of every age, income level, location, ethnicity, or physical ability, and providing the full range of information resources needed to live, learn, govern, and work.

Minhaj ul Quran International

Minhaj-ul-Quran International, works to promote peace, tolerance, interfaith harmony and education, tackle extremism and terrorism, engage with young Muslims for religious moderation, promote womens rights, development and empowerment, and provide social welfare and promotion of human rights.

NEWway Project

NEWway Project is a winter night shelter supporting homeless people in Newham. Together with our partners, we run a year-round NEWday centre where rough sleepers and those who are vulnerably housed can get all essential support for moving on; including showers, meals, and housing/benefit/job/medical/immigration advice.

Newham Super Choir

Newham Super Choir is a lively, inclusive, community choir for the over 60s, regardless of race, gender or past musical experience.

One Love Community CIC

One Love Community is a social initiative seeking to create viable, actual change and improvement to the quality of life of people in the city. It is a grassroots network outreaching into local communities to provide support, knowledge and activity that enriches and engenders health, responsibility and security not just to the urban environment but to its inhabitants therein.

Richard House Childrens Hospice

Richard House Children's Hospice based in East London, provides palliative care to children with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions across London. Richard House Children's Hospice cares for children and supports the whole family, from residential clinical care, to music therapy to enable a child with sensory needs to communicate through sound, to end of life care with pre and post bereavement support for all the family.

Roma Support Group

Since 1998 the RSG has worked with thousands of Roma families, offering them a variety of services, engaging the Roma community in all aspects of running and managing the organisation and promoting an understanding of Roma culture in the UK. Our mission is to improve the quality of life for Roma refugees and migrants by helping them to overcome prejudice, isolation and vulnerability. It is also our objective to make the public aware of Roma culture, heritage and current situation of Roma refugees and migrants in the UK through cultural and informative events and publications.

Rotary Club of Stratford

Rotary Club of Stratford is a humanitarian and community service organisation based in Newham, London formed of local businessmen, professional and community leaders who are passionate about making a difference in local and wider community.

The club is involved in Youth support activities, environmental activities like tree planting, Polio eradication, Stroke awareness and many other local and international humanitarian projects.

Rotary Club of Stratford also organise the annual East London Community Heroes Awards.

SHS (School-Home Support)

School-Home Support (SHS) is a charity working with children and families to maximise educational opportunities and improve life chances. Partnering with schools, local authorities and communities, SHS looks beyond the classroom to understand and tackle the issues affecting children's learning, such as poverty, inadequate housing and mental ill-health.


Shpresa programme is an active user-led organisation that advances the education and training of the Albanian speaking people in the UK, so as to enable them to take full and active roles in their communities.

St Johns Church, Stratford

St. John's is a large, multi-cultural, vibrant, welcoming Church. It is the spiritual home for hundreds of local people, of all ages, races and backgrounds. We enjoy being at the centre of the most exciting corner of London.

Stratford Circus Arts Centre

Stratford Circus Arts Centre is a vibrant place to create and experience art through world-class theatre, dance, music and circus and visual exhibitions and we present work for families, young people and adults. We support national, international and East London artists to create new work that is relevant to local people, connecting artists and audiences to help them find authentic voices.

Alternatives Trust

Alternatives is a professional and confidential service to anyone experiencing unintended pregnancy, pregnancy loss following an abortion or a miscarriage, or struggling because of a pregnancy-related issue. The work has expanded to include support for parents. Alternatives education team delivers faith-sensitive Relationship and Sex Education in local schools, colleges and youth settings and manages a website for young people www.fryp.org.uk on behalf of the Newham Interfaith Sexual Health Forum.

Asian Friendship Centre

Bangladeshi Parents and Carers Association

BPCA is a specialist voluntary organisation working with people with multiple disabilities. We provide culturally appropriate tailored support and care in our Day Centres or in their own home, where our qualified and diverse staff create a nurturing, friendly and fun environment. Our recreational, educational and wellbeing programmes enable our users to develop social skills, giving them the tools to integrate into the community and exercise their independence and choice.

Better Together

We run Newham Shared Lives scheme. We work with anyone who is eligible for adult social care, for example through a learning disability, mental health issue, degenerative illness, and we match them to live with a family in Newham, who we recruit, train and support to ensure that they offer high quality support.

Caramel Rock

Caramel Rock is a fashion and creative arts education charity based in Newham, London, providing training and opportunities. We offer, in every course, a personal development plan, as well as helping young people. It is also our mission to provide people with the knowledge and expertise of the working world, to help them form a solid foundation for a brighter future. Additionally, Caramel Rock guides young people to achieve both their short and long-term goals. This is accomplished by improving their skills and giving them work experience.

Community Links

Community Links is a social action charity, rooted in East London, providing support and opportunities to thousands of people every year. We have been transforming lives for over 40 years and are founded on two principles: to find new solutions to old problems and to deliver them with the whole community.

Emmanuel Parish Church

The Community of Forest Gate and beyond, we support our community spiritually, physically, emotionally mentally regardless of age, culture, language, sex or background.

Frames of Mind

Frames Of Mind is a new charitable organisation based in Stratford. We specialise in using stop frame animation, film and digital art, as a platform for creative expression - to give people a voice.
Our aim is to improve the health and wellbeing of our communities and marginalised groups through engagement in meaningful creative processes.

We deliver bespoke projects for all ages and ‘smart device’ digital inclusion training for elders, to combat isolation.

Although we are a new organisation, our sister company, Salmagundi Films, has been delivering projects in Newham for 15 years.


At ICSS we inspire our students to aim high by achieving their goals and helping others including their younger peers and within the local community. We strongly believe that our students (from a wide range of ethnic backgrounds) need to be encouraged to integrate into British society, and our volunteers play an important part in this as role models. We aim to encourage everyone to be part of the local community and society, to fulfil their potential.

In recent years we have evolved to not only provide free education, tutoring, and mentoring to children in our local community of Newham including children of refugees and families of domestic violence. We also provide support and encouragement to these families, as well as food donations due to the support of organisations such as Fareshare and Neighbourly.

Mary Ward Legal Centre

The Mary Ward Legal Centre promotes access to justice and quality legal advice services. We employ caseworkers and solicitors who provide advice and�casework in complex debt, employment, housing and welfare benefits issues which often involve tribunal or court proceedings.

Money A+E

At Money A+E we believe that a greater understanding of money through advice and education transforms lives. Our mission is to empower individuals by providing accessible, independent, and effective money advice and education.

Newham New Deal Partnership

We work locally and strategically across Newham and beyond. Our vision is of proactive and creative communities without barriers where everyone is able to fulfil their potential and live in dignity. Our aim is to be an agent of community cohesion and transformation through delivering volunteer and training opportunities, services to vulnerable and hard to reach groups, place making and the arts projects which inspire communities, enrich society and stimulate people to fulfil their potential.

Nurture Academy

We provide accredited course and workshops on Hair braiding and barbering. We also have a child and youth salon which is a safe space dedicated to young people.

Plaistow South Big Local

South Plaistow is one of 150 areas selected by the Big Lottery to receive funds from a 200 million 10-year programme to ensure lottery good causes money is fairly distributed. Plaistow South Big Local is about bringing together the local talent, ambitions, skills and energy from individuals, groups and organisations who want to make the area an even better place to live.

River Christian Centre

We are a growing church, always seeking new initiatives to spread the word of God. Our style of worship is modern, lively, and encourages intimacy with God, deepening our spiritual life and understanding of him.

Rosetta Arts

Proud to be in a dynamic and diverse part of the world, we deliver exciting, innovative and creative courses, workshops and experiences for people in east London, reaching those who otherwise have little access to the rich and transformative benefits of the arts and education. Working in a spirit of collaboration and connectivity, we engage local communities and venues, discovering and supporting artists at different stages of their artistic development

Royal Docks Learning and Activities Centre

Initially, we operated as a youth centre but eventually expanded our remit by providing a wider range of services to the local community. Our mission is to improve education and welfare opportunities for local people, to improve the quality of life for all sections of the community by reducing levels of poverty and providing support to those who need it most, to facilitate change by encouraging local people to engage with their community and to play an active role in issues relevant to their lives.

Salem Health Project (SHP)

SHP is a health organization set up to promote health, prevent major chronic diseases and level health inequality among Black Africans, primarily for French Speaking Community, of all ages and genders, through raising awareness, giving advice and information, educating people, campaigns such as: HIV testing, Sickle cell or breast and bowel cancer screening, substance misuse etc, advocacy and support.

Skills Enterprise

Skills Enterprise aims to support Newham residents experiencing the sharp end of poverty and disadvantage. Through a mix of digital and face-to-face support tailored to community needs, we will help local residents break out of poverty through improving their knowledge and skills.

St Josephs Hospice

St Josephs Hospice supports people in East and North East London with serious, life-limiting conditions.We help local people, supporting their choices and making sure they get the help they need, whether that's spending time at the hospice or being supported at home. We also offer a wide range of services to families and carers to help at this difficult time.

Stratford East

Stratford East is a producing theatre, built in 1884, in the heart of East London, situated a short walk from Stratford station. We have a proud history and an exciting future. We represent our culturally and socially diverse community in the work we make, the people we employ and our audiences and participants. We tell stories that are current, political and representative of London.
